Quaker Oats

Quaker Oats have given my university a brief to produce a new packaging idea for a lovely new project that will be coming out very soon. I decided to create my design by using photos of the flavours provided which was Syrup, Apple and Blueberry, Raspberry and Cinnamon. The concept of my design is a two lidded pot, the first lid hold seeds of the flavour you have chosen except for syrup you get wheat in that one. Then you open the second lid which is the entry to the Quaker oats, Oats so simple after eating the oats so simple you re-use the pot to grow your seeds.

Unfortunately I didn't win the Wagamama competition but fingers crossed for this one. Sorry it's taken so long to put anything up its final year, dissertation and 101 projects. Hopefully will have up the project I am working on now very soon which is my main final year project and will be the one that I will be exhibiting.

3D Auto Desk Project

3D Auto Desk Brief, Year Two Project

For one of my 2nd year projects we had to create an animation using 3D Auto Desk, not one of my favourite things of doing as I'm not great with computers. The brief of the project was to create our own new village, world or town. I decided to create a village with an old style feel, for most of the buildings I designed myself as you have an option of importing your own images or using blocked shapes which you can manipulate. Anyway have a look I know it isn't great as there is some parts that don't join up but I think the best part of it is the water.

Glastonbury Project

GLASTONBURY PROJECT!!

As you can probably tell I'm seemed to have some time on my hands as TWO blogs in one day, I would like to say that was true it's just I'm trying to find excuses so I don't have to do my new two projects.
Anyway, this was my last project of year two, for this module we had to conduct our own brief, as this year was the first time I went to Glastonbury I must admit I went Glastonbury mad. I do think I came up with a very new and good idea though, I decided to produce a festival survival kit, within this kit you get a t-shirt, a hat, toilet roll and stickers to put on your wellies. The broader idea was to do a kit for each festival and each would be designed differently accordingly.

I think the best idea of this was that the stickers from each festival would be placed on your wellies to show
were you had visited before and how many years you had been going for. When I mentioned this to my lecturer he decided to link it with old men's walking sticks, and walking clubs not the look I was going for. I was very successful on my grades for this project and was only three marks off a first maybe this year.

Wagamama's T-shirt design competition

For University we have to find a competition for a 10 week project, whilst I was looking for a life brief I came across the wagamama competition. For this you have to design a t-shirt for the staff to wear, the t-shirt needs to show the vibrant personality of the staff and something modern and new that the staff will enjoy wearing. I haven't chosen this competition as my 10 week project as the entry date finishes today but decided to have ago anyway and designed this image. I know it really isn't exactly to the brief but every time I tried to think of something all I could think was how the food is so lovely and it's always done so decorative. I don't think I will win as I have said before to one of my close friends Farrah (make up it girl) I don't have bad luck I just don't have good luck and never win anything. It would be nice to win though as one of the prizes is vouchers for wagamama's and I'm constantly eating there and nando's so be Nice to save a bit of money. Anyway wish me luck and fingers crossed.
